While laser processing holds enormous potential, challenges in cost and precision have kept it from being fully realized. We aim to turn the various possibilities of laser into reality by understanding the interaction between "light" and "materials."
In facilities where laser is already in use, issues like “we installed it, but can’t get it to work right” are common.
This stems from a shortage of integrators who deliver laser processing in an optimized form between manufacturers and end users. We champion “process-driven design” to close this gap, achieve higher-quality processing, and make laser a more practical technology.
Introducing laser equipment — or replacing existing lines — comes with many constraints, which is why traditional processing methods are still often chosen.
The communication overhead involved in working with an SIer is also a barrier.
That is why Quantec has developed PICTURA, a laser marker that packages system integration into an approachable form. We address the challenges of “initial cost” and “quality” in laser adoption, with the goal of driving greater utilization throughout the manufacturing industry.
